- ** Attica: ** here lies the center of Greece in the form of Athens, the port of Piraeus and other adjacent cities. There is the largest concentration of tourists, especially around the center of Athens – Acropolis. At the same time there is the most industry – ** Aegean islands: ** Outside Athens with an overview of the most visited part of Greece. These include beautiful volcanic islands in the ** Cyclades archipelago ** (eg Santorini, Milos, Naxos, Andros ..). ** Dodecanese ** (eg Rhodes, Kos, Karpathos) located near Turkey. – ** Islands in the Ionian Sea: ** includes seven large islands including Corfu, Lefkada, Zakynthos. These islands are generally greener than those in the Aegean Sea – ** Crete: ** A large and very mountainous island in the Mediterranean – ** Peloponnese: ** A large peninsula with beautiful beaches and high mountains. Surprisingly, relatively little discovered by tourists yet – ** Macedonia: ** occupies the entire north of Greece. There is a second main center – Thessaloniki.
