Myrtos Beach

On the northern coast of Kefalonia you will find Myrtos beach – by far the most famous beach of the island and one of the most beautiful in all of Greece. A winding road with several nice viewpoints leads to the beach itself. However, the most famous view is from the road to Assos, from a height of approx. 320 meters above sea level. The most famous natural attraction on Kefalonia
Melissani Cave or Melissani Lake is probably the most interesting natural phenomenon on Kefalonia. It is actually a gigantic cave that a tree has partially fallen into and its bottom is flooded, so that a picturesque lake has formed. You can find it not far from the town of Sami. On Kefalonia, you will not only find amazing beaches with white pebbles and azure blue water, but also those with dark sand and waves. Such is Mouda (or Kaminia, depending on which part of the beach you are on). It's quite windy here, but from here you can go all the way to the very southeast end of the island.
