Istanbul, formerly Constantinople, is the largest city in Turkey. Because of its location it is called the Oriental Gate. It spreads both in Europe and Asia. You will find the largest Turkish monuments such as the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, the Topkapi Palace and Dolmabachce Palace.
