Assos is undoubtedly the most picturesque town on Kefalonia. It lies in an amazing position between high mountains and a peninsula with a castle, from which the view is amazing. The town itself has its own beach. The problem here is with parking, where it is almost impossible to find a place right in the town. You can get here via a road with eight switchbacks.
