The largest of the Canary Islands
The island of Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and there is the highest peak of Spain, stratovolcano Pico de Teide, proudly towering up to 3 718 meters asl. Tenerife is a paradise for lovers of nature and trekking. The sub-tropical vegetation and volcanic landscape offer countless possibilities to explore. In the southwest is the mountain range Teno with its deep rock cuts and wild cliffs. The central part of the island is dominated by volcanic landscape of National Park Teide. In addition to the aforementioned highest mountain, grateful ascent destinations are volcano Pico Viejo and beautiful scenic mountain Guajara. The north offers romantic mountain range Anaga, which is still relatively unaffected by tourism.
