Tenerife as a renowned tourist destination, so is well connected by air to the rest of the world. Lovers of more original forms of transport here can go here by boats.

• The fastest connection to the island is by air. Although increasing number of lines and airline operators push air fares down, it is still advisable to book the flight at least 3–4 months in advance.
• Another option is to use last-minute offers from travel agencies. Most regular flights (from Europe and other islands) land at the airport north (Tenerife Norte), while irregular travel agencies lines usually end at the airport south (Tenerife Sur).

There is a network of bus lines operating on the island (the company Titsa).

• It works without any problems, especially along the coast.
• But transportation around the central areas of the national park Teide is more difficult – only one bus departs here from two of the largest tourist centers in the morning and returns back around four in the afternoon.

• The best solution is to rent a car, which quickly takes you where you need to go. The cheaper way is to order the car online, pick it up and give back at the airport.

• The island can be reached also by boat from Spain.
• Between the Canary Islands also operate air and ferry services and up-to-date information is available on the internet.
