On the northern coast of Kefalonia you will find Myrtos beach – by far the most famous beach of the island and one of the most beautiful in all of Greece. A winding road with several nice viewpoints leads to the beach itself. However, the most famous view is from the road to Assos, from a height of approx. 320 meters above sea level. The beach is long, so it doesn't get too crowded considering how many visitors there are. At the west end is a small cave.
