Article Tour of Vasiliki

The center of Vasiliki is basically a marina, surrounded by taverns with beautiful sea views. The highest mountains of the whole island can be seen from the town. The only inconvenience is that the road leads through the center to the southern part of the city and on to the beach of Agiofili, so cars literally get through here, especially in the evening.

If you want to take a few photos in the marina, the ideal time is in the morning, when there are only a few people in the taverns for breakfast and the light is very nice. In the evening, of course, it has a completely different atmosphere

The best taverns can be found right in the marina, because sitting directly overlooking the sea is priceless

Just a short distance from the port is the first organized beach, but I did not find it very attractive, because it is directly opposite the concrete pier, so not much for Lefkada conditions. Further west, the wild beach continues to the other end of the bay, where the village of Ponti and hundreds of windsurfers are. More about this beach here

If you go to the opposite side, you will have to bypass a large fenced port, probably the ugliest part of town. Then the path begins to climb and you get to a small church, which is only occasionally open

Behind the church are other accommodation facilities (above the road) and below them are several small beaches. Here is probably the best swimming in Vasiliki

The road then rises slightly and continues to Agiofili beach. From the viewpoint by the road there is a nice view of these small beaches and the surrounding countryside
