They been there:

The northern coast of Zakynthos is not as dramatic as the southern one with gigantic chalk cliffs. You will find several interesting beaches here, from small coves to long sandy ones. It will take you 1–2 days to explore. There and back from Zakynthos town it is about 60 kilometers.

Tsilvi

From Zakynthos, take the coastal road. Then you will climb a hill and a short drive inland before the view of the long-run Tsilvi beach opens up from a nice view. The beach surrounds the town of Tsilvi-Planos and is very busy. Relatively good for children for lovers of bays nothing very interesting

Drosia beach

It really lives in Tsilvi / Planos, so it will take a while to drive through this two-town. The main road then goes through the agricultural hinterland with lots of olive trees less than a kilometer from the sea. Every now and then there are turns leading to really small and narrow beaches that don't have much to offer. The Greeks mostly spend their holidays here

Psarou beach

Another of the smaller beaches you can look at is Psarou. A little further is the beach in Amoudi

Departure to Ano Gerakari

One of the highlights of this trip is an exit to the village of Ano Gerakari with a church at the very top of the hill. Of course you will find a nice narrow road through the village, but as a reward great views and no tourists

Peak panorama

From the church in Ano Gerakari there is a really great view of the most fertile part of the island of Zakynthos north of the mountain ridge

View of the Alikes

There is also a nice view to the west on the bay of Alikes

Beach in Alikes

The beach at Alikes is one of the most pleasant on the north coast. Although it is also long, it is not as lively here as in Tsilvi, for example, and at the same time there are really nice views of the mountains from here.

Lagoon in Alikes

Alikes are also interesting for two huge freshwater lagoons. So the water looks quite unattractive in them, but the view of the mountains is the best from here.

Little church near Alikes

More like a snack bar than a big attraction, a new church just west of Alikes can be used.

Xygia sulfur beach

Further north, the beaches are gaining interest. One of the most famous beaches is Xigia, which is not only beautiful, but there is also healing blue water – so there is also a nice stink. Unfortunately, the bay is quite small, so it is terribly crowded

Makris Gialos beach

Another very nice beach can be found just north of Xigia near the resort of Mirko Nisi. From here there are also boat trips to the Blue Cave or Navagio
