Nea Roda and Komitsa beach
Swimming in the north of Chalkidiki
Nea Roda is a fishing village on the only road leading to the northernmost finger of Chalkidiki – Athos. So if you are heading north to Chalkidiki, you will definitely go here. Directly above the port rises a hill with a lighthouse and a church, where it is definitely worth climbing. After a short tour you can choose from a number of nearby beaches, the most famous of which is probably the large Komitsa

We start the tour in the port, where you can park well. From here you can see the city beaches, about half a kilometer away

Komitsa beach
After visiting the church, we wanted to visit one of the local beaches. We didn't want to go to the city near the port, so we headed east and reached the nice but large beach Komitsa. In front of it, it is possible to choose other slightly smaller beaches
Relax on Komitsa beach
There are a lot of beaches on the northern finger of Chalkidiki Athos and relatively few people even in the high season, so ideal for those who do not need large crowds
