Suitable for:
Beach loungers

Right at the beginning of the middle finger of Chalkidiki – Sithonia you will find the resort of Vourvourou with the famous Karidi beach on a small peninsula. However, count on the fact that it is quite a busy and visited place and that you will definitely not be alone here

Karidi beach

Almost to the beach Karidi leads local roads and the main parking lot is in a pine grove just above the beach. But it is often hopelessly full and people park where you can even a few hundred meters in front of the beach. The beach itself is white, lying in a semicircular bay terminated on both sides by polished rocks.

Swimming on rock plates

Who does not need crowds, and sand with areas of seagrass can go west where there is a narrow scythe and on the other side is absolutely clean water and smooth rock plates. Be careful unexpectedly slippery when entering the water

Cruise ships

Cruise ships moored at the uninhabited island of Diaporos (over a kilometer as the crow flies), which has a swimming stop here – advertising it as a Blue Lagoon

Panorama of Karidi beach

It is definitely worth walking to the very end of the rocks from where there is a beautiful view of the entire beach of Karidi

Micro Karidi beach

When you set out to explore the other side, you will come across a slightly smaller but significantly quieter beach, Micro Karidi

Views from the rocks

The eastern part of the rocks is a bit less accessible and there are also significantly fewer people to walk. However, the views of the protected wooded hilly part of the Sithonia peninsula are worth it

The beach Karidi is also a nice view from the other side.
