Salzburg is a very mountainous Austrian federal state. Its axis is on the one hand the Salzach river and then also the A10 motorway, which passes through this country from north to south. Here you will find not only the highest Austrian mountains – the Hohe Tauern, but also limestone mountain ranges such as Hochkönig or Tennegebirge. Outside the mountains you will find beautiful gorges or lakes. Salzburg is an ideal place for outdoor lovers. The largest city here is beautiful Salzburg at the very northern end of this federal state.
