The largest glacier in Austria
More than eight kilometers long glacier Pasterze is not only the largest glacier in Austria, but also throughout the entire eastern Alps. It flows down from completely glaciated mountain Johannisberg (3 453 m asl). Additionally, the highest mountain in Austria – Grossglockner (3 798 m asl) towers above it. It belongs among the biggest attractions throughout scenic Großglockner road.
