Tennengebirge is such a smaller and lesser known „brother“ of the surrounding limestone massifs of Dachstein and Hochkönig. The highest peak is Raucheck (2,431 m asl). It is basically a large deserted limestone plateau with peaks along the edges. The mountains are famous for the largest ice cave in the world, the Eisriesenwelt
