Small but beautiful and diverse country stretching from the small strip of beaches on the Gulf of Aqaba through the amazing desert of Wadi Rum to the most famous sight of the entire Middle East – rock town of Petra. On the west the terrain drops sharply from the plateau into the depths of the Dead Sea and the Jordan valley. North of the country is the greenest – on hilltops there are still original forests. You can find here many Roman sights.
