Departure tax: if you leave Jordan by country, expect to pay the so-called 8 JOD departure taxi. Admission to nature reserves: In Jordan, admission to the following nature reserves is collected: Dana Biosphere Reserve, Ajlun Woodland Reserve, Azraq Wetland Reserve, Shawmari Reserve after 7JOD and Mujib Biosphere Reserve for 13JOD. Visas

You will receive a visa while waiting at the airport and land border crossings (except Allenby Bridge / King Hussein Bridge) and also on a ferry from Egypt. More at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A single-entry visa for two weeks costs 40 JOD (approx. CZK 1,400) / can be easily extended at any police station / Multi-entry, valid for six months costs 120 JOD. It can no longer be extended.

Border crossings

Jordan has 3 border crossings with Israel, 2 with Syria, 1 with Iraq and 3 with Saudi Arabia. For travelers today, only three are applicable with Israel, see. below: Allenby / King Hussein Bridge: 57 km from Amman is open Sun-Thu 08: 00–20: 00 for arrival and 08: 00–14: 00 for departure. Fri-Sat 08: 00–13: 00 Sheikh Hussein crossing: 90 km north of Amman. Sun-Thu 08: 00–22: 00. Fri-Sat: 09: 00–20: 00 Wadi Araba crossing: 324 km from Amman, connecting the resorts of Eilat and Aqaba. Sun-Thu 06: 30–20: 00. Fri- Sat 08: 00– 20:00
