From the Jičín basin to the ridge
The hike from Jičín to Tábor is a pleasant hike, where you can get from the Jičín basin to beautiful views of the Giant Mountains and its surroundings. It is also a starting point for the complete crossing of the Kozákov ridge or a continuation to Podkrkonoší – Lomnice nad Popelkou or Nové Paky. Along the way you can see the small town of Railway with a historically valuable town hall.
Quarry in Čeřovka with Milohlídka
From the city center, a blue tourist sign leading to the top of Čeřovka will take you to the beginning of this tour. The famous Milohlídka lookout tower – the oldest lookout tower in the Bohemian Paradise – can also be seen from the quarry region. If you have time, it is definitely worth taking a small side trip and climb this lookout tower
Beautiful view of Zebín
From the quarry, we continue along the path in the direction of the garden colony. From the end of the development, a beautiful view of the Zebín hill will open – probably the most popular tourist destination of the Jičiňák family
Jabloňová alley behind Jičín
After passing through the horticultural colony, the path continues along the old apple alley. Here, of course, is the most beautiful spring.
Crossroads under Zebín
After a while you will reach the crossroads Pod Zebínem, which is next to the former municipal waste dump, now reclaimed grassy hill. Here you connect to the red tourist route, which will take you to the very top of Tábor. From there, the locals head up the hill on their walks. The red route leads down to Střední Mlýn. Only go there if you want to have a snack. Otherwise, you can go straight through the former military area and save about 400 meters. Alternatively, you can climb to the former landfill, from where there is a pretty good view, now dragons are flying here in the fall.
Zebín from the north
On the other hand, Zebín is not as typical as from Jičín, but even from here it is a nice landscape dominant. From the former military area you will cross a meadow and join a narrow road leading from Středný Mlýn to Železnice
Railway saw
After about 4 kilometers from the center of Jičín, you will find yourself at the Railway Saw. Next door, which is far more important information, is the railway station Železnice, on the relatively busy route Jičín – Turnov, as well as an alternative start of this tour.
Railway in sight
From the station, you basically go in a straight line towards Železnice. The dominant feature is the Church of St. Jiljí. It is also possible to jump on the Železný hill, but it does not have a very interesting view. You can walk through the town directly or reserve a few minutes for a tour of the listed square and its surroundings, see. article

Now we have the first ascent, we have to cross the hill Húra – a long ridge along the top of which runs the border of the districts of Jičín and Semily
Kyje near Jičín
