The vast majority of peaks in the Alps higher than 3,500 m above sea level are already among the most difficult ones with the need to climb over snow and ice. So these are not tourist peaks. In addition, you will not have time to go out and meet most of them in one day and you will have to use the services of mountain huts.

When you spend Christmas with your family in Saas-Fee, it is not such a problem to climb to 4,000. You will definitely climb there alone, you won't even meet your foot, it will just happen that you, like us, will not only look for a way, but also tread … continue reading

Winter ascent to Gran Paradiso

Italian Great Paradise

Rating:
| Altitude: 4 061 m / 13 323 ft

The peak of Gran Paradiso is the only 4,000-meter peak that lies entirely in Italy and is not shared with any country. It is considered to be one of the lighter mountains over 4,000 m, but the ascent requires some preparation and physique. For about 2 years I planned how to get to it and was looking for suitable partners, until the first week in January, when I was free, I found a post on Facebook that is looking for people in numbers and the goal is Gran Paradiso. It was clear where I was going :-) continue reading

Ascent to Grossglockner Stüdlgrat

The Big Bell unexpectedly without people

Rating:
| Altitude: 3 798 m / 12 461 ft

We chose a somewhat untraditional variant with a starting night at Erzherzog-Johann-Hütte, which meant a greater number of kilometers and elevation, but we were alone on the ridge and also at the top cross, which is not a good luck for someone. Stüdlgrat, a climbing route to the Grossglockner, is marked with AD, III + difficulty, but there are many places secured by borháky and fixed ropes that make the whole ascent easier. Conquered by Cyril and Methodius 2019. continue reading

Together with the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains, the Wetterhorn dominates the small town of Grindelwald. The name itself is very convenient, as you may encounter very changeable weather here. The terrain is also quite diverse.
