Area Šumava
A massive mountain range in the south of Bohemia
Šumava is located on the border between the Czech Republic and Germany (there is located its highest mountain). A large part of the mountain range belongs to the national park (the largest national park in Czech republic), the rest to the protected landscape area. The area is famous for the peat bogs and meadow plateaus that alternate with flat, wooded ridges. The area is particularly popular with cyclists. There is also a huge dam lake Lipno
