Lysá skála (419 m above sea level) is one of the most interesting peaks of the Kokořín region and the Mácha region, mainly due to the fact that it is a really unforested rocky peak with a great view. The final ascent is short, but sharp, secured even by a chain

Beginning of the ascent to Lysá skála

The starting point for Lysá skála is the village of Provodín, from where a green hiking trail leads to the top. After a narrow road, however, you can get to a small parking lot „turn to Lysá“ from where it is to the top just over 500 meters walk and 100 meters elevation.

The area around the hill is surrounded by pastures with an electric fence, so you can only get there by a path leading through a small alley

Final ascent to Lysá skála

The ascent to Lysá skála has two completely different stages – the first after a leisurely footpath along the alley to the resting bench and the second – a steep short ascent directly up the rock. The steepest passage is even secured by a chain, a phenomenon rarely seen in Bohemia

View of the Lusatian Mountains

The most beautiful view from Lysá skála is to the north in the direction of Lužická hora. An easily recognizable peak is Klíč (759 m above sea level)
