Hiking circuits & Trekking

Petr Liška Wrote 28.01.2013:

Pokhára and its surroundings are a very good starting point for a number of treks and day trips. Surprisingly, there are quite a few beautiful treks on which only a minimum of tourists go, mostly in the foothills of Annapurna or in the southern ridges from where there are great views of the main massif. BC Annapurna trek: due to its relative shortness, it is a very popular trek leading to Annapurna I base camp. BC surrounded by a corridor of mountains is famous for its amazing sunrise. Poon Hill trek: a short, just a few-day march to the world-famous view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna South leading through the misty forests and pretty villages of Ghorepani – Ghandruk trek: connecting the trek around Annapurna with the trek to BC through the rhododendron mist forests Jomsom trek: The Pokhara only begins. It is now relatively unpopular because it runs virtually along the road. it does not detract from the beauty of the surroundings. Namun trek: another of the un walked treks connecting Lamjung with Manang along the route of the former trade route (before the route was built through the Marsyangdi valley) through the eponymous saddle approx. (4,900 m above sea level). Sikles trek Panchase trek Mardi Himal trek. North BC Annapurna trek: A little trek to the northern Annapurna base trek is ideal for larger adventurers
