The journey from Bahundanda (17,2km of trek) to Syange (22.5 km of trek) changes its intensity mainly according to the time of day. Mornings and evenings are pleasant here. Wandering here around the noon in long passages without shadow is very tiring. After a steep descent from the pass with beautiful views of the rice amphitheater you walk more or less on the contour line along the hillside slope. Interesting views are mostly on the other side of the valley on the road situated in a slope, along which occasionally jeeps or even buses “swing”. It clearly meets the characteristic of „deathroad“ – at least according to appearance.

Descent from Bahundanda

The descent is quite steep. Especially after the rain there is a need to pay attention. The views of the beautiful rice terraces are amazing.

Fast food shop in Kanigaon

In a small village of Kaniagon halfway between Bahundanda and Syange you can buy lemonades. Small children often serve here.

Marsyangdi river valley

You slowly descend to Gherm that is ideal for long pause as it is ideally situated directly opposite the 111 m high waterfall falling directly into Syange, the final destination of this stage.

Rice villages

Villages on the neighboring hills are completely untouched by tourists. They are perhaps a good tip for an interesting trip for someone who has time and does not hurry as quickly as possible to experience high mountains further in the north.

Waterfall over Syange

Although the waterfall is „officially“ pretty high, it is rather a cascade of waterfalls of different interestingness.
