They been there:

Dharapani (1930 m asl ) is located just a short way from the confluence of Marsyangdi and Dudh Khola – so in places where is the conjunction of treks around Annapurnas and Manaslu. From there you shall continue further into Bagarchhap (2100 m asl) and Danakyu, behind which you have to decide not only based on your physical health, but also according to the actual caving conditions, whether you go through the bottom path along the river or ascend more than 400 vertical meters to Timang and walk along the upper path.

Dudh Khola valley and Thoche

The path from Dharapani rises along the western bank of the river, and soon will open a nice view of the Dudh Khola valley, through which trekkers descend from the circuit around Manaslu. Just a bit further there is village Thoche surrounded by green vegetation.

View of the massif Manaslu

But the most beautiful view in this stage is in the backward direction on one of the peaks of Manaslu massif. A lot of people think here that they see the main peak, but this is only a minor peak that does not even have 6,300 meters above sea level.

Sunset over Manaslu

After passing Bagarchhap and Danakyu you can leave the lower path and go more than 400 vertical meters up the hill along the winding path in rhododendron rainforest to the direction of Timang situated on a mountain meadow with renowned views of Manaslu, especially during the sunset. Here it just depends on your luck, how much you will see. Anyway, the local lodges are built for this purpose and have outlooks directly on the roof. So you can only take hot tea, put on the jacket and enjoy the sunset.

View on Manaslu

Early morning views will usually make you sure that you will see the whole ridge without clouds. But this is incomparable with the light and color during the sunset.

Mountains above Timang

Timang was previously far more important than it is today – the main path to Manang once led here across the pass Namun. Nowadays almost nobody walk along this ancient trade route since it is possible to walk through Marsyangdi valley.
