The most colorful trek in Nepal
If you want to see virtually all types of landscape in Nepal during one long walk, there is no other choice but to walk a nice trek around the ridge of Annapurnas. Picturesque canyon of river Marsyangdi with many waterfalls, amazing terraced systems of rice fields, glaciated giants of three eight thousand high massifs, almost moonscape of Tibet, the deepest valley in the world Kali Gandaki, rhododendron misty forests, typical villages – all this can be seen here. Through the landscape of Lower Mustang
After crossing the Thorong la pass awaits you the last part of the trek around Annapurnasa along the route of so-called Jomsom trek. Trail leads all the time down through the valley of Kali Gandaki to Tatopani, where you can end the walk or continue to Poon Hil (the original end of the trek is in Beni). Many trekkers skipped this part of the trek these days, thanks to a dirt road along which now leads most of the trek, and flies from Jomsom or take the bus back to Pokhara. But it is a shame, because it offers a number of wonderful views of massif of Nilgri and especially of monumental Dhaulagiri. In addition, traffic is not very dense.
