The ascent to gompa Bojo
Perfect view of Manang
The most favorite acclimatization trip from Manang is to gompa Bojo hidden in a rock wall high above Manang. Interesting are here not only beautiful views of the ridge of Annapurnas, but also the ceremony, which is supposed to bring you luck during crossing of the pass Thorong la.

The first part of the climb to the gompa Bojo leads from Manang on a rocky cliff on which decompose fields and pastures for yaks

The path from Manang rises straight up through the field, on which sometimes graze yaks. In the distance you can see up to Tilicho peak.

You can nicely see the whole Manang from the ascent path to Bojo Gompa, then the glacial lake Gangapurna tal under the town and the path above the moraine to the outlook point Chongkor.

After passing the fields above Manang the path rises already more steeply through hillside up to the perpendicular rocky wall, to which is gompa building stuck.

Beautiful view is of Gangapurna and icefall dripping from it down for a few kilometers.

You can drink tea with friendly monks in the gompa.
Rite in the gompa
They will wish you good luck (for a small contribution) during the crossing of the pass Thorong la in the gompa.
The whole trip will not take you more than two hours.
