A tour of the picturesque city of Andalusia
Ardales is a small Andalusian town near the large Embalse del Conde de Guadalhorce. It is not very well known, so you will hardly come across other tourists here. At the same time, a short tour is definitely worth it. It is a classic white town stuck to a rocky slope with a small fortress at the very top
View of the Ardales
The best view of the city is from below from the north. From here, you have it in the palm of your hand
A region of olive trees behind the town of Ardales
Behind the last houses of the town there is an unfathomable region full of olive trees. The massive bridge with a dirt road leading to the fields was probably paid for with European Union money :-)
City of Ardales
Ardales is a town on a hill, so it's quite a place here. All life is around the town hall „Ayuntamiento“. Here you will find bars and restaurants. The town hall itself is quite a nice building.
Church of Our Lady of the Remedies
Just below the top of the hill is a pretty church, one of the city's landmarks

Ardales is a classic Andalusian town – all houses have white facades
Castillo de la Peña de Ardales
At the very top of the hill is Peña Castle. Unfortunately, inaccessible during our visit. If you want the weather, continue on the road even further and higher to an interesting view
View of Ardales from the bypass
From the bypass of the city you can see the side hill, which serves as a nice lookout point
