Huge fortress above the town of Alcalá le Real
The biggest attraction of the Andalusian city of Alcalá la Real is the huge fortress of La Mota, which rises on a hill to the west of the city. If you are traveling between Cordoba and Granada, be sure to make a stop here and climb the fortress. Not only the fortress, but also the views from it are worth it

The fortress has its own exit from the N-432 motorway, or you can reach it through the city. There are parking lots north and south of the fortress. Then you can choose one of several paths and slowly approach the fortress
