Mountains
The highest mountains in Manang: The highest mountains you will see when wandering Manang are Annapurna II and Annapurna III. The 8,000-meter Annapurna I is already hidden behind the ridge and you will not see it from the usual viewpoints, unless you ascend the „trekking“ six thousand Pisang peak or Chulu. Mountain passes
Without debate, the most famous pass in Managu is Thorong la (5,416 m above sea level), which culminates the entire trek around Annapurna. Many enthusiastic tourists from all over the world have a height record from here. Other important saddles are Kangla Bhanjyang (5,306 m above sea level) connecting the Marsyangdi River Valley (center of Manang) with the Nar Valley and Mesokanto la (5,121 m above sea level) on the direct road from Lake Tilicho to Jomsom. This is a bit more difficult, especially in the vicinity of the saddle.
Lakes and Ponds
There are many beautiful lakes in Managu. Above all, the legendary Tilicho stands out, directly within reach of glaciated giants such as Gangapurna or Tilicho peak.
