The island of Thassos, the northernmost island in the Aegean Sea, is small in size, but still offers a number of beautiful beaches. The most famous beaches of the island are located mainly on the eastern or southern side of Thassos. High mountains and hills covered with pine trees give them drama. In recent years, unfortunately, many well-known beaches have been literally surrounded by sunbeds, so somewhere you can hardly see the sand.

Livadi is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches of Thassos. It is sandwiched between high cliffs and, thanks to the poorer access road, is also less visited. There is one small snack bar and a couple of umbrellas, but definitely don't expect crowds here like on other beaches in Thassos. The famous beach of Notos can be found approximately less than three kilometers from the resort of Potos. It is a very photogenic beach, especially from a drone. Unfortunately, nowadays you will practically not see sand here because almost the entire beach is occupied by sunbeds and umbrellas. The beach has no official parking lot. Vulos is one of the most beautiful small beaches on the island of Thassos. It is very difficult to get here by land. There are several ropes on the steep slope, but the entire slope is overgrown with thorny bushes and this route is probably minimally used.
