Volcanic activity

Petr Liška Wrote 02.07.2014:

Santorini is not only the largest advertisement for Greek architecture, but also a still active volcano, which is also coming to life. The gigantic caldera flooded by the sea, with a diameter of 11 kilometers and 400 meters depth is the largest in the world. At the same time, it is a reminder of the greatest historical catastrophe that has ever befallen Greece in ancient times. After the explosion that tore apart the original island, a huge tsunami was created, which subsequently ravaged Crete and created the legend of Atlantis.
