Place Prophet Elias Church

Above the town of Archangelos rises a mountain with a rock massif Pr. Elias (516 m). You can also reach the mountain by car, because there is mostly an asphalt road, we managed it even with a small rented car. At the very top of the mountain you will find the Prophet Elias Church, which was unfortunately closed. However, we appreciated more the beautiful distant view of the surroundings. They can be seen from here from the more southerly city of Lindos to the capital of Rhodes in the very north of the island. At the top of the mountain, you can also walk through an interesting landscape that is covered with variously shaped stone formations, like a sea of rocks.
