Beach Sarakiniko is one of the most interesting beaches on Milos. The narrow bay surrounded by snow-white reef is suitable not only for swimming, but also for a little adventurous walks on its surroundings. Set out here early in the morning, when it is beautifully lit and there is almost nobody. Around noon there are sometimes quite crowds and romantic charm is fading a bit.

First look at Sarakiniko

From the main road it is around seven hundred meters to the parking lot, from where you can get to the bay. Already at the first outlook place you can enjoy the view of the beautiful canyon ending with a small beach and 120 meters long narrow bay.

Beach Sarakiniko

The beach is only ten meters wide, but anyway, visitors usually sit on the cliffs around. This place is much more beautiful in reality than in the picture.

Mini Cappadocia on Milos

Some formations will certainly remind you of magic Turkish Cappadocia, but only in pocket size. Cliff on the left is about 8 meters high.

Rock bridge

Except for swimming you can explore here the surrounding snowy cliffs. You can also find here nice rock bridge – crossing only for the brave ones :-)

White coast

Coast with its white cliffs stretches for another nearly kilometer and a half to the west direction up to Mantrakia. It is ideal for an interesting walk, during which you will meet almost nobody.

Also from the other side looks the cove magically.

White plain

If you want to see also the small wreck and walk through the deserted countryside, set out along the shore about 300 meters to the east. On a large white plateau, in places where the path begins to rise to the parking lot there are a few places in the cliff, where you can crawl to the east.

Cliffs

There are not appropriate places for swimming on the way to the wreck, but coastal volcanic landscape is interesting.

Wreck of the ship

There is not much left from the wreck. It is possible to continue on further to the east, but you will not find there any big attraction.
