The town below windmills
Small town Trypiti built on the edge of upland plateau overlooks into the depths of Milos bay. Together with Plaka it is the possible place on the island of Milos where you can go for sightseeing. Except for the cathedral below the town there is also a small ancient theater, catacombs and the church with a view of the bay. The second possible outing leads above the town to the remains of beautiful windmills.
Plaka in sight
Trypiti is less than a half kilometer from the older Plaka. Right at the edge is quite large parking lot where you can leave your car. If you plan to visit the sights below the town (theater, catacombs), continue downhill the road up to another parking lot.
View of Klima
There are many places in Trypiti, from where is a beautiful view of Milos bay. Directly below the town, about 140 meters below, is a famous fishing village of Klima.
Cathedral in Trypiti
The dominant feature of the town is a large cathedral. On the horizon is visible also an outlook hill with the church offering another possible outing.
Windmills
There are several windmills in various condition stages on the highest point of the upland plains. It is possible to undertake a very nice trip here.
Mill in the embrace of suites
Most windmills have a completely different function than they used to have. Most of them are now surrounded by suites. But the views of the countryside are still great.

Some mills are now rebuilt to stylish houses for living.
View of Triovasalos
To the other side it is possible to see to the other major town in Milos – to Triovasalos.
