Beach Achivadolimni is one of the longest on the island Milos. It is surprisingly also one of the loneliest, even though there is a nice view of Adamantas and Plaka, as well as of the highest mountain in the island – Profitis Ilias. Moreover, only a short distance from its western end is the only lake on Milos.

When you go from Adamantas to the south, there is no indices for a long time that there could be a nice beach on the way. You will pass a large factory in Kanava and then follows the plain up to a small airport in Milos. Immediately behind the turning rises the road to the cliff, from which it is possible to descend in several places to this beautiful semi-abandoned beach.

View of Profitis Ilias

The beach stretches far west to another small cliff. Horizon is dominated by the highest mountain on the island – Profitis Ilias.

Semi-abandoned beach

Beach Achivadolimni is popular especially with those avoiding big crowds by the sea. You can also find shade below the local trees.

Panorama of Achivadolimni

The best time to visit this beach is probably in the morning, when you have the sun „in your back“ and there are the best views of the mountains and towns Adamantas and Plaka.

Small volcanic reef

At the western end of the beach is a small volcanic reef, which is worth a short walk.

At the western end of the beach

At the western end of the beach gets the bay the shape of the moon. Unfortunately approaches also the road leading into the mountains. On the other hand, there is the best view of the uninhabited part of island Milos from there.

Bay in the moon-shape

The beach is closed by small hill, another place ideal for a short walk.

Wild coast

At the very end of the beach leads the path to the ruins of house, from where you can ascend to the outlook hill.

Nice view

From the hill is a nice view of the mountains. Views of the beach would be better in the afternoon and mainly in days without such a strong haze.
