Ascent to Tanvaldský Špičák

The ascent to Tanvaldský Špičák basically starts at the eastern end of Albrechtice in the Jizera Mountains (just a few meters from the bus stop).

The ascent route itself is not so interesting – you climb through the forest, a short time along the way, a short time along the road used to supply the mountain hut at the top. A few hundred meters below the top, a hiking trail leading from Tanvald joins. Just before the top it is more interesting, in the forest there are several boulders and rocks

The first view is just before the top at the first slope. From here you can see the opposite Světlý vrch and on the horizon the ridges of the Jizera Mountains

After about a 20-minute brisk walk from Albrechtice, you will reach the very top of Tanvaldský Špičák. Apart from the lookout tower and the inn, there is also a cable car station and it looks a bit looted thanks to all those slopes and columns. But the view is really worth it.

Not far from the top is a nice lookout rock accessible by an iron ladder

You have the Jizera Mountains from Tanvaldský Špičák in the palm of your hand

To the west is a view of Černá Studnice and the Ještěd ridge

Directly below you is Jiřetín pod Bukovou

If you do not want to return the same way through the forest and you want to enjoy a few more views, it is better to go down the slope

About 150 meters before the end of the ski slope, turn right and follow the forest road to the interesting cemetery in Albrechtice. Apart from the church, Schowank's tomb is also a dominant feature here. From here it is only a few hundred meters through the city to the starting point of the tour
