Diseases and health problems

Before such a challenging trek and especially at such a high altitude, it is not advisable to underestimate the acclimatization. Altitude sickness can occur directly on the trek, where the only option is to go back to the valley and wait. Or as a sign of exhaustion and weakness after exercise, as was the case in my case. We didn't have much time for acclimatization. The day before the track we flew to Cusco and the next day we were pedaling. I didn't feel any nausea or headaches on the trek, just a lack of breath. But in the morning and all day long I felt like they were being pulled out of the drawer. Weakness, great tiredness, shortness of breath. Fortunately, it gradually faded away, but it wanted peace and plenty of fluids.
