The Tatra National Park is the oldest of the Slovak national parks. It includes the High, Western and Belianske Tatras. On the Polish side of the mountains, it is followed by Tatrzański Park Narodowy. The central tourist route is the Tatra highway, from which dozens of routes turn into the Tatra valleys
