The features form a double peak, the highest of which is 2503m. The ascent belongs to all-day tours from Štrbeský pleso, through Popradská and further through the cottage under Rysy. Unlike other peaks, this one is lined with mountain huts, so it is possible to draw energy or water there. There is a section secured by chains along the way, but they have recently built an iron walkway next door, so there are no more waiting columns of people.

Route description

We start the journey at Štrbské pleso, where we leave the car in the parking lot. We continue along the red mark over Popradské pleso, the sidewalk is pleasant and in some places completely paved. From Popradský pleso we head through the forest along the blue sign, which after a while we change back to red and we climb the serpentine to Žabí ples on a tourist path. Here the terrain changes to rocky and after a while we come to a place where there are chains. The section is not particularly dangerous, the chains are more for greater stability, a new iron walkway with large steps has been built not far from them, so the chains can be completely avoided. This is followed by a steeper climb on the rocks, we pass under the Tibetan flags and we are already coming to Chata Pod Rysmi. The highest cottage in the Tatras. From the cottage I continue in the footsteps of Lenin which disappears right behind the cottage and we reach the Váh saddle. Another steep climb over the rubble and stones follows, we overcome the ridge of the mountain and we already have the top in sight. A few tens of meters of rubble and we are upstairs. The state border with Poland and the exit route from Morskie oka pass through the peak. The second peak lies entirely on the Slovak side. The descent is along the same route to Štrbské pleso.
