Circuit through Sliezsky dom and Zbojnická chata
East High 2428m. The only tourist peak available where you can make a circuit and we do not have to go the same way back. This makes the hike more difficult. It measures 23km and the elevation gain is 1700m. Along the way are the mountain hotel Sliezsky dom and Zbojnická chata, so in case of bad weather or loss of strength, it is possible to use their hospitality.
Route description
We start in Starý Smokovec, it's after the rain, but it doesn't rain anymore. We follow the yellow sign leading along the meadow to the forest. As the forest spreads, we see the Velická polana crossroads, a grassy patch between cypress trees. From here it is a short walk to the Sliezsky dom hotel, where we continue along the green sign and bypass Velické pleso. A steep rise above the lake awaits us, and a modified footpath of large stones leads below the Poľský Hrebeň saddle. There are chains just under the seat, the section is not heavy, the chains serve for better stability. A yellow sign leads from the saddle to the top of Východní Vysoká, there is easy climbing in places, and chains also appear. At the top is just a sign indicating the elevation point. The way down leads to the saddle Poľský Hrebeň, from the saddle we descend to the other side before we came and descend to the crossroads on the blue sign, which leads us up again to the saddle Prielom. The ascent turns into double climbing secured by a chain and stupas. Really nutritious section. From the saddle, we hold on to the rocks with our hands for a while, but after a while the sidewalk leads in the rubble and crosses into a footpath leading to Zbojnícká chata. After a long rest, the sky breaks in a hurry and the surrounding peaks appear to us. During the descent, however, we disappear again in the clouds before we take them to Hrebienok, from there it is a short distance to Starý Smokovec to the car.

Middle tip
We were cloudy all the time, although at times the sky broke slightly, but this view in the valley of the Great Cold Valley was worth everything.
