View from the landmark of the town

52 m high Valdice tower not only dominates Wallenstein Square, but basically the whole Jičín. It is also a nice viewpoint of the entire town and its surroundings. So it is certainly worthwhile to ascend all 156 steps and enjoy the view from the observation gallery.
Wallenstein Square
The most beautiful view from Valdice tower is to the west of the picturesque Wallenstein Square surrounded by municipal houses with arcades. Every Saturday morning reigns here bustle and hustle, because traditional markets are held here.
View of Čeřovka and Zebín
In the northeast direction is visible the wooded hill Čeřovka and the prettiest hill far and wide – Zebín.
View of linden alley
Interesting is also the view of almost two kilometers long linden alley leading to the loggia and on to Valdice famous for its prison. On the horizon you can see the renowned outlook of Giant Mountains and ruined castle at the same time – Kumburk.
View of Veliš
In the southwest is also visible the tower of Church of Our Lady of Sale towering above Jičín cemetery. The horizon is dominated by the best outlook far and wide – Veliš hill, an ideal place for a short trip.
