Maxican Hat is not only a famous rock formation, but also a small town located just off the San Juan River. It is a great base for several great places such as Goosenecks State Park and Valley of the Gods

Morning by the San Juan river

Mexican Hat is located right by the river, so you can enjoy great views of the surrounding „wild western“ landscape in the morning.

Rock Mexican Hat

This interesting Mexican Hat is a symbol of the city and its surroundings. It stands out best again in the late afternoon. You will find it about 4 km north of the city.

Goosenecks State Park - Goosenecks

Seven Sailors
