Picturesque hike on the outskirts of the Giant Mountains
The small village of Tužín lies in the vicinity of the stream of the same name on the border of the Jičín Hills, the Kozákov ridge and the Krkonoše foothills. There are even two tourist routes crossing here, yet it is a very quiet place where you do not interfere with the tourist. In addition, our circuit mostly leads outside these marked trails
Chapel of the Guardian Angel in Tužín
A blind road leads to Tužín from Radima, located just east of Jičín. We will come to the chapel of the Guardian Angel, where there are 1–2 places to park
Crossroads at the Cross of the Virgin Mary
After 250 meters I am at a crossroads from which we continue on the main road to the east.
Cottage above Tužín
After another hundred meters we leave the road and start to climb the grassy slope (this part may not be permeable all year round). We have a forest on the left and in front of us there is a strange building in a draw
View of the eastern part of Tužín
We climb the meadow about 500 meters with a view of the eastern part of Tužín before we come across a forest path that will lead us further
Ascent to the hill Na Vrších
After some 300 meters through the forest we go back to the meadow and climb straight up.
Views of Kumburk
The closer we get to the top of the flat plateau, the more the view of the highest hill with the ruins of Kumburk opens up. There are an extreme number of possessions in the area, so watch out for hunters not to confuse you with a pig
Na Vrších (431m asl)
If the field is passable, it is worth reaching the highest elevation of this circuit – Na Vrších (431 m above sea level), Thanks to the sitting area we have such a small lookout tower
Views from the top
The views from the top are wide in all directions and quite nice. The camp can also be seen. Down in the valley lies the Úbislavický church
Overgrown cross
We will come to a crossroads at another cross, which is quite overgrown, and now we will descend along a forest road to the valley of the Tužín brook. Pay attention to the path because even thanks to lumberjacks it can be damaged in some sections. Anyway, even if you're lost – you just have to go down to the creek.
Burning mill in Tužín
After descending into the valley, you will join a wide path, which is marked in blue. After a while, you will also meet a well in the soul. At the very end of the forest you will come across a nice mill building
Return through the picturesque Tužín valley
Now we have only the last kilometer of the journey through the picturesque sunny Tužín valley. There are several old log cabins and new recreational buildings on the slopes above the valley
Former Anderl (Tužínský) mill
The last attraction on this circuit is a nice Anderl (Tužínský) mill
