Between the Loisach and Inn rivers you will find the small but beautiful Bavarian foothills. The highest mountain here is Krottenkopf (2,086 m above sea level). The biggest attractions for tourists, however, are the local lakes such as Kochelsee, Walchensee, Tegernsee or Schliersee. Due to the fact that the Bavarian capital Munich is only 60 km away, there are relatively many visitors, especially on weekends with nice weather
