About 15 km north of the center of Munich, in the village of Oberschleissheim there is a complex of 3 castles. The new chateau was built with financial problems in the years 1701 – 1726 by Prince Max Emanuel. Of the planned 4 wings, only one was built. Adjacent to the castle is a park with fountains. It is currently accessible and has a gallery.
