Kaisergebirge is a mountain range of limestone alps, with steep rock towers, gorges and meadows below the mountains. Its more dramatic part – the Wilder Kaiser is a very popular place for mountaineers and ferrat fans. The highest peak of the mountain range is Ellmauer Halt (2,344 m above sea level).
