Other Sights
Kyrgyzstan, unlike other Central Asian countries, is not very rich in monuments. Rather, you will see socialist buildings in the style of brutalism. Most such buildings can be found in the capital Bishkek. There is still a statue of Lenin in almost every city. Of the old monuments, it is worth mentioning perhaps only Burana.
Cities
The only really big city is Bishkek, which has a population of almost a million. Here you will find mainly socialist monuments. Another large city is Oš in the south, which has over two hundred thousand inhabitants. Only Jalal-Abad, Karakol and Tokmok have over 50,000 inhabitants.
Squares
Religious buildings
Basically, you will find either Orthodox churches or mosques. One of the most beautiful shrines in the country is the wooden cathedral in Karakol.

Folk buildings
If we do not count the yurts, the typical folk buildings are houses from the imperial era, which are characterized by white walls and blue shutters – a bit of a Greek combination.
