Place Cholpon Ata

The population of Cholpon Ata is usually around ten thousand. When summer vacationers are added to this, there are significantly more of them. The city center is basically located along the main road with shops and restaurants. The main monument is the ancient petroglyphs outside the city. Otherwise, you will find only a small Orthodox church, a mosque, a few tsarist houses and a plethora of socialist buildings. The Ruch Ordo Museum is also interesting. Most of them, however, do not go here for sights, but for a nice swim in Lake Issyk-kul, which will certainly not disappoint you.
