Trip to Kuks Hospital

From a distance you can see how Kuks is a monumental building. The most common starting point for a trip is the paid parking lot in the village of Kuks. From here it is about 3/4 kilometer walk to the castle along the blue tourist sign

Before heading across the Elbe to the Baroque area of the Hospital, walk through the large number of folk buildings provided by the center of the village of Kuks. The so-called craftsmen's houses were built practically at once during the construction of the complex

From the craftsmen's houses you will come to a lookout „balcony“, where you have Kuks directly opposite you, on the other side of the Elbe valley.

Before heading across the Elbe to Kuks, you can refresh yourself from your own resources or in the surrounding restaurants in a small park with huge Braun statues (statue of Goliath, statue of Salvator).

Now you have to go down a beautiful staircase, cross the Elbe bridge and climb a gentle hill and you are there. You have a view of this stunning building all the time

One of the reasons why I actually go on a trip here are the amazing Braun statues. There are really countless of them here

After admiring the statues, enter the extensive courtyard through the eastern gate

South of the castle is a beautiful garden, which is also worth a visit. From here you can continue, for example, along the nature trail Let's go to Bethlehem together or see the interiors of Kuks
