Langtang Trek 3 part: The ascent from Bamboo to Rimche (2,470 m above sea level) is the first real ascent on the trek. Strenuous, especially when it gets hot in the midday heat. You will climb more than 500 meters on less than three kilometers. During the ascent, the vegetation around you will also change. The Rimche itself is basically two loggias a short distance from each other at a crossroads

Footbridge over the side tributary

Just a few tens of meters behind Bamboo you will come across a fairly wild side tributary. Thanks to the scattered river stones far and wide, it is clear that there can be a lot of water and this footbridge is definitely not enough at all. Fortunately, you can see the upstream bridge from the footbridge, which solves it here at a higher flow rate

Nepalese Pančava waterfall

On the opposite side of the canyon flows a small waterfall, a bit similar to our Pančavský in the Giant Mountains

Langtang jungle path

The path leads through lush vegetation along stone steps. Not only up, but sometimes you will lose hard-earned altitude meters

Tom and Jerry Hotel

After a kilometer and something from Bamboo, you will reach a large suspension bridge that will take you back to the other bank. visit

Langtang Kholy riverbed full of boulders

From Tom and Jerry, the road rises nicely again – next to us is a foamy river forging its way through a riverbed full of huge boulders – probably since the earthquake in 2015

Massive landslide

After a while, a traverse of a massive landslide awaits us, created in 2015. There is also a monument to an Israeli tourist, who was unfortunately buried here. So be sure not to stay here much and move on quickly

Rimche

From the monument to the dead Israeli is the steepest ascent and in Rimche, a beautiful viewing balcony to the region, every tourist falls dead and orders tea or food. There is also a crossroads. An alternative and really beautiful path leads through Sherpagaon, high above the valley, where almost all mule caravans also go, so that explains why you haven't met them until now.

Views from Rimche

From Rimche there are beautiful views of several impenetrable side valleys

Moonlight lodge Rimche

100 meters further is the second loggia around Rimche – Moonlight. Super quiet place, as most tourists continue less than a kilometer further to the busy Lama Hotel

Early evening and evening in Rimche

We liked Rimche when we climbed out, but we slept here only when we descended and we could enjoy the beautiful afternoon light, super sunset and especially the amazing night sky.
