Zell am See is a spa and a famous resort on the shores of Lake Zeller. There are three mountains at the crossroads: the Hohe Tauern, the Kützbieler Alps and the Dientere Berge, so it is also an excellent starting point for many tours. The city has a small historic center and the possibility of swimming in the lake

View of the Grand Hotel Zell am See

We can start our tour of the city right by the lake in a small Stadtpark from where there is a nice view not only of the Hohe Tauern on the horizon, but also of the large building of the local Grand Hotel. It is built in the best place in the city – on a promontory to the lake, so from the hotel rooms you have an incredible view of the surrounding mountains

View of the Dientere Berge

Across the lake you have a view of the lower Dientere Berge mountains, where most of the peaks are not even two thousand meters above sea level. It doesn't matter at all, even so there are incredible views of the Hohe Tauern and Hochkönig

To the north of the city park there is a paid public swimming pool. Nice place, but in nice weather, count on your head here

Street Seegasse

One of the biggest arteries of the city is the Seegasse street connecting the lake with the historic city center – restaurants, wine bars, shops with specialties and souvenirs – here you can choose
